Mountain 45s boss Double A steps up for the label’s eighth release with a “Double A” offering that shows off both sides of his trademark style. ‘Work It Out’ reimagines a soul classic with chunky drums and a tightened arrangement, transforming it into a proper dancefloor burner for b-boys, b-girls and anyone who likes their grooves bold and upbeat. On the flip, ‘Skewed Down’ gets its long-overdue vinyl debut after circulating digitally – a hip-hop-styled rework anchored by heavy, swinging drums and a supremely funky bassline. Both tracks are made with DJs and dancers firmly in mind, bridging classic soul flavours and raw block-party energy with timeless, feelgood results.
